Macbooks are conveniently built with cup-holders. IMO :-P I do it all the time!

They are very flat and that matt finish makes for a good grip :p

I did the same thing...until I actually spilt water all onto the MacBook, and fried the battery (thank GOD it wasn't the whole computer). It doesn't quite work as well as it used to, and the warranty is now null, but I consider myself lucky.
