However I was pretty amused that the San Diego Tribune was giving press space to this article in 2005:

Maple and Brown Sugar Ramenmeal
2 servings
1 package ramen noodles (any flavor)
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon syrup
1 tablespoon brown sugar or to taste
Save ramen seasoning packet for another use or discard. Crumble ramen noodles into a 4-cup, microwave-safe bowl. Pour in milk and syrup. Heat in the microwave on high for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with sugar.
Per serving: 271 calories (30 percent from fat), 9 g fat (5 g saturated), 12 mg cholesterol, 7 g protein, 40.5 g carbohydrate, 52 mg sodium.
