My husband and I try to eat healthy most of the time. Being poor people though, we sometimes supplement our regular groceries with hot dogs. Usually all-beef and kosher, but sometimes we get the ball park franks. We figure as long as we're eating hot dogs, we might as well do it up!
Getting the most out of a hot dog *snicker*:
Chili Dog Pizza
--One pizza crust. (any kind, home made or otherwise)
--1 can Hormel chili spread evenly across crust. (beans or no, whatever you like. I use no beans.)
--1 pack hot-dogs, cut up and spread around.
--Onions, scallions, or jalapeno as you like
--Shredded cheddar cheese to taste.
Bake. Add mustard if desired. Slice. Consume. Repeat as necessary.
Trailer Park Dogs
--Slice one hot dog almost in half.
--Stuff in whatever kind of yellow cheese you have laying around.
--Wrap with cooked bacon (we use the microwave kind).
--Wrap that in one of the croissant rolls that come out of the tube.
--Bake at a slightly lower temp than the rolls call for, for a little extra time (look at them, you'll know when they are done).
--Serve with ketchup, mustard, hot sauce, or whatever you dig.
Optional, calld physician. Schedule flushing of arteries.
