summer so far.
in the brief week i've been home:
i've ran into my ex-girlfriend and her baby. had lunch with my same aged friend who is thinking about getting a divorce. gotten my eyebrows waxed with my best friend from elementary school whose twenty four year old financee just left her for a seventeen year old. i've gotten a beer with a good friend who just found out he is a dad. i've gotten stoned with one of my best friends who is now a recovering junky. i've stayed sober at a bar with a friend who has given up booze and led me to realize it was all we ever really had in common. i ran into my ex-dealer who is now at bible college studying elementary education.
i used to be really popular in this town and then for a couple of years i dropped off the face of the earth. this past week i've been sparingly going out, just showing my face, smiling superficially and shaking hands. while i was hibernating it seems everyone grew up.
and they a ghastly job of it.
