I'm so happy to see this is still functioning properly! I accidentally sat on it a few weeks ago, and I was so worried I'd smashed it ( Read more... )

If you find bats, sulfur (most likely in matches), copper wire or glass/amber rods, I will bargain with you for them. I'm at Engur University, so if you're in the area, stop by.

I'm afraid I'm a little... Well, afraid of bats. But I do have a box of matches! A bargain wouldn't be necessary, but may I ask what you're in need those stranger things for?

Matchheads contain sulfur. I need sulfur and bat guano (small amounts of each) to cast the fireball spell, which is rather powerful and would serve as an exellent defense against zombies, should I need it.

You don't need to go near the bats, it would serve me fine to know where they are.

Oh dear, it's more magic, isn't it? Better then that I don't ask! I'm not too terribly far from the university, I think. Any way to defend against those creatures - I'll be glad to help.

Have you checked the churches? I've seen more than my share of infested bell towers. It's the safest bet I can imagine.

Hmm, there's an idea. In my world, the gods don't allow infestations (unless the creatures are holy in some way). Are bats considered holy in your world?

Have you seen many churches in the city?

Fortunately not! They're simply very fond of the high, dark ceilings in those towers, and so terribly resourceful. I think it would be quite a bit more dangerous to attempt to get rid of them than it ever is to merely coexist.

I'm sure I've seen a few, and they shouldn't be hard to find again if they're still standing.

Well, just keep an eye out for them if you would.

Oh, and I'll be exploring the laboratories in the university soon. If I'm not on the third floor, I'll be around somewhere. Either stick the matches in one of the webs or wait for me, whichever suits you.

Certainly!

Ehh, I've got nothing but time, to wait! And I'd rather not leave anything lying around where one of those monsters might find it. It may take me a good while to arrive, at any rate - I haven't been that way since before.

Very well, I shall see you when you arrive. Hopefully your trip is a safe one.
