Yeah, yeah, it's probably too late to post this.
But I figured since I'm finally done with (most) of my holiday gift giving I may as well.
Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

+ Threshold fic. I love gen, Arthur/Sean, Lucas/Nigel, Molly/Julian, and I also enjoy Molly/Lucas and Arthur/Lucas. Molly/Sean doesn't do it for me. Crack: A+++.
+ Hi-res Psych caps. Do they exist out there somewhere? Have I just not found them?
+ Cute animal pictures. Link me to/comment with your favorites? Not saying no to macros, which are fun, but I've been way into dailysquee lately.
+ An animated .gif ( example) of Gus' little headwaving thing when Shawn's trying to talk Jules into being their dance instructor in 2x01, American Duos. Or someone patient enough to talk me through doing it myself, because really, it all seems like TECHNOLOGICAL WIZARDRY to me.
+ Music. Any music uploads of pretty instrumental stuff or artists reminiscent of Juana Molina, Noah and the Whale, Ólafur Arnalds, Rosario Bléfari, Owl City, or along the lines of the songs listed at my last.fm loved list. Or anything you think I might like? I lost about half my music due to corrupted .zip files and I'm just generally in the mood for new stuff.
+ Rachel Dawes. So, originally I thought I wanted people to talk to me about this fic, but the truth is, I just want people to talk to me about RACHEL DAWES AS A VIGILANTE. Who owns half of Gotham! And is the D.A. by day and asskicking by night! Also: weekly poker games with Lois, Barbara, Helena and Pepper y/y? Helena's always trying to cheat, Lois always gets a little too drunk and opinionated, Pepper gets fifty texts a minute from Tony, and Barbara has to moderate them all. Also, in my head, Rachel has lots of hot enemy!sex with Catwoman and/or Ivy and/or BOTH. Yeah, I could go on about this for awhile. Tell me your awesome Rachel thoughts?
+ Surprise me! I ♥ surprises. I also get really weird and itchy if someone tells me I have a present coming, so in general it's better to just spring it on me rather than tell me it's coming.
+ In conclusion, I want pie. I realize no one on the internet can help me with this. THIS IS MY LONGING FOR PIE FACE, Y'ALL.
Oh, and when I say "fic," I totally consider a couple sentences in a comment to be fic.
