God, so much formatting and pulling out summaries and checking for spoilers that I can't even see straight anymore. And if you comment for any other reason than to say "that's the prettiest thing I've ever seen" I WILL CUT YOU.
Fun fact I learned from doing that: half of the Heroes femmeslash stories out there feature a character (usually Claire or Niki) being tied up, imprisoned, electrocuted, or beaten. What a fun little sub-fandom we have! Also, apparently Claire is always the sub? Which sort of makes me want to try and write her as a Domme, or, better yet, to bribe one of you into writing it for me. *makes puppy dog eyes*
And, hey, while I was buried up to my ass in tagging obsession, apparently some of you darling people were nominating my stories over at the Heroes Slash Awards? Awwww, you guys. I am in warm fuzzyville!
And I'm especially in warm fuzzyville because Will Set You Free (Claire/May, teen, 10,455 words) is a story I really enjoyed writing (not the editing so much, though, haha), and I'm pretty proud of how it turned out despite the rough patches. And it's the longest thing I wrote in 2007, wow. It was also a very personal story to write in many ways--without getting into TMI territory, let's just say that Claire's experiences in that story weren't created in a vacuum--so, I'm, just. Feeling really happy that other people enjoyed this story as well, in a way I probably couldn't articulate properly. ♥
Although I feel kind of bad because I wasn't planning on voting in the awards, so I didn't do nominations. So I will be doing the next best thing soon--a Heroes recspost forthcoming, when I can get my act together, especially because some of you did not get nominated who severely deserved it.
Other stories that were nominated, because I feel like listing them is a way of saying thank you? (Can you tell I really don't know the etiquette for this awards stuff?
