Jake/Van perving and ATWT pimping
I feel kind of like a pervert, because over at the Luke/Noah communities everyone was responding to this picture of Jake/Van:
With expressions of how adorable and sweet they look. I, on the other hand, immediately went WHERE IS VAN’S HAND PRAY TELL? O_O And quickly proceeded to stare at what Jake’s hand is doing on his belt for another few minutes. And then realized that it’s the angle that made it look like Van’s hand was, er, other places, but, yeah.
Not that they don’t look adorable and sweet and all that, too, especially with Van’s arm around Jake’s shoulder, which may just be the best thing ever. People were speculating that he might be standing on a box which makes me laugh and laugh and laugh and hope to God he was, because cute much?
Every time I think I might be calming down about these two, something like this sets me all a-squee again.

For anyone new around these parts, I’m talking about the gay teen couple Luke and Noah from As the World Turns.
Well, teen is a relative term, because they just started college in the canon, so. And, yes, it’s a soap opera, and, yes, it’s cheesy, but trust me, the shame wears off after watching their kiss clips twenty times in a row and screaming your head off about their adorable in-love-ness. And be that as it may? Their story, especially the early arc, is told with a lot of sensitivity and realism and the characters are both very compelling. Both Jake and Van really just nail their roles, if you ask me, and they drive me crazy on a weekly basis with their evolving adorable teen relationship. It’s darling and angsty, but best of all? They do things like kiss, hold hands, and talk about their feelings, bwuuuuuuuh. So many times after watching an episode I have to tell someone to stick a fork in me, because I’m done.
And I’ve been meaning to pimp them ever since maidenofthesea asked me about them, so here goes!
