remixthedrabble R1.5, FF2 initial thoughts

Yay, the remixthedrabble lightning round was a success! We had a nice mix of various things represented this round.

First things first (and you only get a prize if you guess all three remixes right):

Poll Which three remixes did I write?

I received three fantastic remixes.

Firefly: Lovely (Six Times Seventeen Remix)
Oh, this is just some gorgeous Inara/Kaylee. Engine room sex GUH! Also, as a remix, it’s fantastically done.

Pan’s Labyrinth: Soy El Fauno (The Perks and Privileges Remix)
What can I even say about this one? The Faun point-of-view just... defies words in its awesomeness. Seriously. If you watched this film, you must read this drabble. MUST.

Wonderfalls: Temptation (The Rumpled Sheets Remix)
Jaye/Mahandra for the WIN. This is a tasty vignette between them; I especially like the image of Jaye in bed. Excuse me while I go and take a cold shower.

Femmeslash and Pan’s Labyrinth YAAAAAY! Could I love the people who wrote for me more right now? No, I could not.

And in case you haven’t had a chance to make your way over to the community yet, the fandoms featured thus far in the remixes have been (by tag): Avatar | Bare: A Pop Opera | Brokeback Mountain | Buffy: TVS | Cold Case | DCU | Doctor Who | Firefly | Gilmore Girls | Harry Potter | House | InuYasha | Lord of the Rings | Neverwhere | Pan’s Labyrinth | Threshold | Wonderfalls | X-Files

And I just saw Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Initial thoughts:

- The Silver Surfer is criminally sexy. Especially the way he talks. And looks. And BREATHES, dammit. I would see the movie again just to watch him. (Someone should clip out all his appearances into a vid.)
- Johnny is even more bisexual than I originally supposed. (The list of people I slash him with would take up this whole post.)
- Alicia=*dies*. I LOVE ALICIA. And please tell me someone has written Alicia/Sue? Because Alicia/Sue is just beautiful, beautiful love. (I also think Sue would be better off with someone who isn’t a scientist.) Also, the blue contacts weren’t quite as scary in motion as they were in still shots.
- I find it sad that for me, Chris Evans did the best acting job. I’m a forgiving person, but I just couldn’t make myself like this movie. Except for the hotness.

- Reed looked pretty tasty during that dance scene--his facial expressions, not the elongated legs or anything. Although, the things he could do with those fingers... and that tongue... the mind boggles. Happily.

- I love Julian McMahon as much as the next fangirl, but for crying out loud KILL THE FUCKER AND BE DONE WITH IT. I so don’t want to see him in the next movie and am *so* sure he will be.

- Um. The Frankie/Johnny romance was just a weeee bit unbelievable at the end. I liked how she sassed him, and HELLO TOWEL SCENE, but why is that women in movies who say they’re not interested always, apparently, are interested? That kind of pisses me off.

- AAAAAAAAAAAH JOHNNY/SILVER SURFER! That part at the end? “I thought you could use a hand.” HA. A HANDJOB, YOU MEAN.

...yes, I have no shame. But c’mon; I pre-slashed these two. Of course I’m going to linger on every moment of contact they had. And Johnny is so with me on thinking the Silver Surfer is hot. He was itching to go after him through the whole movie. The slash just writes itself.

- I’m not one to typically look for ’cest, but Sue had more chemistry with Johnny than she did with Reed. I think this is partially a (dis)credit to Jessica’s acting ability. But for this reason, I could happily read about an FF orgy, particularly Johnny/Reed/Sue. The “I’m so hot for you” scene sort of clenched that threesome.

In conclusion, Johnny/Silver Surfer and Alicia/Sue are new favorite pairings of mine, and I also think Kal-El/Silver Surfer could have some awesome potential (hot invulnerable alien sex in space anyone?). Which would explain why I’m writing a Reed drabble right now, right? Blah. Muses are so silly sometimes.
