Two things about the great state that I live in:
1. Yesterday at the grocery store I was checking out, and the guy bagging said "Would you like some ice?" and I said, "What, why, no." He said, "you aren't from here are you?" And I said "No." He said, "Ma'am you live in the desert. It is 111 degrees outside today. Would you like some ice in the bag to keep your milk cold while you drive home." Sheepishly, I said "yes. thank you." Chalk that up to being a snob, and also a new cultural experience. I must have looked at him like he was an ALIEN.
2. I don't understand what is so confusing a out lanes that are both entrances to the freeway and also exits. I live on one such entrance/exit. The exist for my house off the freeway is very long because it is the tale end of an entrance onto the freeway several streets east. So you can enter the freeway on 44th, that entrance lane is also the exit lane for 32nd. NO ONE IN ARIZONA KNOWS HOW TO DEAL WITH THIS!!! In one LANE today there were three cars sitting next to each other...NOT one in front of the other but one on either side of another. I sat in this lane for 20 mins while people figured out whether they were coming and going. F'REALS.
NOT about the state I live in...but I needed a 3 to satisfy my OCD!! ;-)
3. I have to take a stats class this summer...my hand has been forced. I have no choice. In 5 weeks call me to be sure that I'm still alive. If I am call me a Statistical WIZARD.
done and done.
