Buffy woke up in a corner drugstore. Which was pretty odd, all things considered, but still. Her hair was wet and matted to her face, and her Prom dress was totally ruined now. She'd gotten so pretty and for what? So The Master could win? He'd done something to her, what with the thrall come-hither-look and stuff. What could she have done differently?
Nothing, really.
"Stupid, annoying brat," she pouted as she sipped on a drink that was there. Just sort of there, like one of those old-fashioned places where if you wore a tight sweater, you'd get discovered. It wasn't that bad, either. Chocolate malt. Of course, it still meant she was dead which would only upset her mom and that was what was really worrying her right now.
Well, that and the whole end of the world thing that she hadn't been able to stop because of the stupid, annoying brat she'd followed into the underground church. Why couldn't she have just told him no? "No thank you. I'm going to Prom in my new, pretty dress, and I'm really hoping to see this vampire guy I like there because he's so drool worthy, yet conflicted, since he's cursed and all. But thanks a bunch for the offer. I'll kill The Master after, okay?"
Yeah. That sounded real good to her now, but hindsight and all.
At least she had a chocolate malt at the moment to keep her company... wherever here was.
