Translation: SNNNNNOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!! Woot!
It snowed TWICE today!
But let me get to the good part.
The Gickeleiters kept calling and encouraging me to find witnesses or more information from other Au Pair agencies about Monika, because otherwise we have a really weak case. So I started emailing around, and sent the Au Pair agency Monika is trying to get a new AP from a message about what she did and how she shouldn't be given help. The lady emails me less than an hour later, gets my phone number, calls me and listens to the story, and was so nice. She said she's not going to help Monika anymore, and she said she'd try to find me a job. The next day I get an email from an American woman living about 30 minutes from here with three small kids who wanted help a few days a week in the mornings for a few hours. Which sounded perfect to me because I don't have classes Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and a few hours in the morning is manageable and doesn't interfere with a social life or studying or whatever.
I went there yesterday to meet the family, and it's two boys (4 and 6 mo.) and a girl (2), and they were adorable, AND they liked me! It's a bit of a ways, but not too bad, and I can read a book. So I'm gonna go on Monday and we're gonna see how this works before deciding a more permanent arrangement. So I am very excited :)
And my friend relationships have been doing pretty well, I feel. :))))))))))))))))))))))
Tschüß!
