I thought that it was a good day to address the production of trans-atlantic films. Now I'm not talking about those films which bits are done by behind the scenes bitches across the way, I'm talking about films which feature brits and americans together. For example:
The Holiday (Jack Black, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Cameron Diaz [oh why!?!?!?])
The Wedding Date (Debra Messing, Jack Davenport, Amy Adams, Sarah Parish)
Wimbledon (Paul Bettany, Kirsten Dunst)
I don't know who these films are written by but they seem to over compensate for American audiences. Brits tend to say "sod", "bugger" and "mummy" a lot more in those flicks. And the list also includes Four Weddings and a Funeral but since when didn't hugh grant say very british words in films where he was the bumbling idiot.
Like Crocodile Dundee and its freakishly incorrect australian depiction of... well australians
