Homebake 08
Hello my dear friends,
I had so much fun at Homebake with Jo and Ben and suprisingly i am not sunburnt nor sore (anywhere but my shoulders). I did not get drunk although i feel like i spent a lot of the day as a duracell bunny anyway. I went home sweaty, smelly and tired : sounds like a good festival. Although there were lots and lots of acts these are the ones i saw:
Dash+Will
Eddy Current Suppression Ring (Triple J unearthed) really very very good
Bluejuice (Fucking awesome)
The Dreamkatchers: not that many people at the act but it was just an awesome show!!! And I think that OEC is so hot!
Drapht: Hip Hop act alright, not great
Pnau: The lead singer was suspended from the ceiling of the main stage with giant fake eyelashea, a coloured head piece and a white kaftan and there were dancing strawberries, ghosts, hands and the letters P-N-A-U.
Sparkadia: OH MY GOD!!!! These guys are so very awesome when they play live. I already thought that their songs were great but their live performance just blew my mind. You know bands who have good songs recorded and then play exactly the same? Sparkadia are different they're just fantastic live. Bought one of their shirts.
Cut Copy: It was a good show once they got into the swing of things. after "Lights and Music" then it was good. They also took forever to start.
Crowded House: Dependable and a good show with all the classics and a great calming end to the festival.
