Pairing: Jin/Rap Monster Genre: Horror/Psycological Rating: R (for blood/religious imagery/allusiouns to non-con and [spoiler]character death) Length: 1.9K Summary: Namjoon is Seokjin's last believer. Notes: Here is the reccomended listening. Title inspired by the poem Wishbone by Richard Siken.
thank you for reading! it was one of the hardest things ive written so far (im usually a sucker for sappy/romance fics) but it was really fun to write. :-)
And here is an excellent example of why it's just safer to be a non-believer and/open-minded. Too often, small sects of faith just get too cultish, and I cannot imagine the deity they praise is all too happy of dwindling faith, but there's also a sense of entitlement or pity. Was Namjoon killed as punishment or out of pity? I'm thinking too much. I always read into things a lot.
But my delicate sense of danger is blaring, wanting Taehyung to head for the hills and embrace atheism or something.
Seokjin was so chill at first. unu Of course, when Namjoon's death is investigated, they'll find out he was devouted to a tiny religion, and it'll be considered some kind of ritualistic death and negatively impact the rest of the faith and other small faiths. Ho hum.
This was good. I'm pleased. It was worth reading, even if it made me think too much.
I also like that your layout code makes italics red. All the more intense.
i thought about that while writing this, i like to think namjoon was killed out of a mix of both. don't apologize for reading into things, im glad that fic made you think!
for now, taehyung has seokjin's trust that he'll do his rituals correctly. let's just both hope it stays that way
thank you for reading and for this great comment! :)
aaaah the layout did add a bit of ~*effects*~ to the fic. i like it too
