God, how incredibly sad. I mean, i am quite sure there were times like this- though i do think that John did love his boys and tried to be there when he could- there were certainly times when he wasn't- meaning to or not- its very sad and its no wonder that Sam became everything to Dean. And vice versa. He had to do his duty as the big brother.

Very lovvvveeer-ly flow, good use of dialogue and the details above with the cleaning i really liked- :)

I both love and get depressed by fics that deal with them as kids. It's sad because it's no way to raise a kid, but let's face it- kids all over this world are going through it every day.
It seems that there are such few people like that shopkeeper left.
