(no subject)
today is the my first day of unemployment in 2007! Ok so it's only 5 days of unemployment, but I have a lot to get done in that time. The big home improvement project of the week is - redoing the bedroom. I've had the colors selected for months and now it's time to implement! We're off to a good start - the wallpaper and disgusting boarder have been ripped off, and the carpet and under-layment have been removed. The sub floor has been screwed down and the materials purchased...now I have 5 days to get it all done. The remainder of the tasks include:
wash (some more of) the wallpaper paste off the walls
remove baseboards
prime the walls
paint the walls (probably a minimum of 2 coats)
clean up any garbage on the floor
lay the resin paper
install the new hardwood floor (actually bamboo is technically a grass - but you get the point)
put the baseboards back up
put new corner round in
return furniture

If I'm super lucky and things go well; and my body doesn’t complain too much, and I work Matt to the bone every night; maybe we'll even get it all done by Thursday afternoon and have some time to get the kitchen project started as well.
My friend Lisa is supposed to come up this weekend to do some skiing, but this winter weather were daytime temps in the 40's and rain makes it hard to have a good snow base.... I guess we'll decide later in the week.
