Things He Dared Not to Say

Jul 19, 2011 03:41

Errrrmmm this is just the beginning and who knows if I ever decide to complete it at all but I need to paste it somewhere other than a folder to be forgotten on my desktop.

I do not own anything, I just enjoy adding my twists.
Scorpius and Albus because Harry and Draco didn't happen

I have no idea what ratings are being new to the fanfiction world, but I would say this is appropriate for anyone except those who do not ship AS/S or do not like boys with boys in general.

He wouldn't tell him. Not now or ever. He could only imagine the face he would make if he ever knew how he truly felt and the thought of it always broke his heart.

So instead of having his first and only love be disgusted with his budding affection, he would do his best to make himself stay close in mind if he could not have his heart. He was going to make sure that he was never going to forget him even if he had to become the bad guy.

In the end, he couldn't bring himself to be the bad guy.

Scorpius Malfoy was too soft hearted for others taste but when he got angry, everyone knew to stay clear of his way. His was the only son of Draco and Astoria Malfoy. As Draco's only son, Scorpius had always been perceived to be as vicious as his father and although he looked liked his father visibly with blinding blonde hair and heavenly gray eyes, Scorpius's personality followed in his mother with a soft hearted a hard exterior.

Many of those who have seen him in and out of Hogwarts would call him two faced but to those who truly knew him, Scorpius was just plain and quiet though rough around the edges. He was protective and kept to himself.

Scorpius was a known enemy of Albus S. Potter, youngest son of the famous Harry James Potter, the chosen one, the boy who lived. It wasn't because their father's were arch nemesis when they attended Hogwarts, another incident that occurred in their very first year that had one another at each other's throats. That incident was known to have been resolved being driven to the point of expulsion that the boys were somewhat forced to join forces. Though the cause of their hatred is unknown to their peers, any other person would have concluded that they were odd friends indeed.

When it came to crossing paths with Albus, Scorpius wouldn't provoke Potter at all as he simply ignored him and stayed in the shadows out of radar.

It was the start of a brand new year as everyone was settling in once again after a summer apart. Everyone was catching up as they sat in the Grand Hall chattering about.

At that moment, Potter and Malfoy just so happened to walk into the Grand Hall together causing a stir. Everyone was buzzing about even louder creating speculations as to why they may have entered at the same time.

"Malfoy"

"Potter"

They both gave a slight nod of acknowledgement and went off to their tables. Though their families have been known enemies, the boys rarely ever challenged it.

Albus sat down with his younger sister Lily as their brother was already off boasting about visiting Romania that past summer. Lily sensing something was wrong nudged her brother.

"Albus, not home sick already are you?"

"Not at all. I am absolutely positively not home sick." Lily knew the truth and it had to do with a little blonde-headed boy whose eyes would secretly gaze Albus.

"How about I set something up to cheer you up?" Lily said with her mischievous smile, the one that got her into trouble many many times.

Albus didn't seem to notice this time around as he poked at his breakfast. "Sure, why not. Just don't try to kill me so easily little sis."

"Wouldn't dream of it."

Young Scorpius was running around the yard with his arms out gliding with the wind. He had recently came back home on a Muggle airplane and was fascinated with it as it was so different from riding a broomstick. His father had bought one for him the year before and within no time, he was already soaring the skies.

As he was running, he accidentally fell over something and landed flat on his face. Another boy was laying on the floor. He was napping but he was no longer asleep. He asked him if he was alright and then he gave the most radiant smile with the most beautiful pair of green eyes Scorpius had ever seen. That day he fell in love.

---

"Scorpius! Wake up!"

He had fallen in sleep in class on the very first day of class which wasn't surprising. He had figured the teachers would wake him up or someone would nudged him awake but no one had. He yawned and looked around the room to find it only occupied by none other than Albus Potter.

"You fell asleep again. This time your so-called friends decided to leave you. Whether it was to tease you or let you rest, you are going to be late for your next class."

He was worried about him.

"I don't have a class next. I have an open study period. Why are you still here Potter?"

Scorpius could have sworn that he saw a blush appear on his soft cheeks but Albus turned away.

No, he couldn't have.

"It would have been wrong to leave you. You always had trouble with--" Albus held his tongue. He knew better than that to talk about the past so easily like that.

"I have no sense of direction. I know that well. Thank you." It was true that Scorpius was always with someone and others never really understood why. He did have the tendency to wander off and was known to be gone or rather lost for hours. When those times came, it was usually Albus who came to his rescue.

"Wouldn't it be easier to just say we are friends?" They started to walk out of the classroom. The halls were already empty with scattered students stumbling into the nearby classes.

"You were the one who said it would have been easier to just be strangers. What's with this change of heart?" His heart was racing. The smell of Albus's soap waffled the air and was still wet from his morning shower.

"I know, but you need this more than I do. As you recall, I have all the same classes you do regardless of our differences in houses."

Albus had been sorted into the Slytherin house and proved to be a great asset. It was a shock to everyone when the sorting hat confirmed. Many bets had placed Albus in Ravenclaw as Lily was sure to be in Slytherin when her time came.

Scorpius had been sorted into Huffelpuff, being the first of the Malfoy family to stray from the long line tied to Slytherin.

"We do, don't we?" Albus laughed it off, leading the way.

"Maybe I should just go take a nap." Scorpius yawned and turned down another hall.

"Wrong way to the Hufflepuff's common room Score" Albus took ahold of Scorpius's hand and led him the right way.

All the way back to his dorm, Scorpius wondered if Albus could feel his heart beating faster or that his temperature was rising off the roof. What Scorpius didn't know that the boy ahead dragging him was thinking the same thing.

Okay, so again, who knows if I ever decide to finish or add more. Let's hope I do. I hate endings because we all know there is always more. Hope you enjoyed it!
