So I've read some good things about Star Trek Online - good enough to make me kind of want to try it. Except I have a philosophical objection to games that make you keep paying for them after you buy them. And a financial objection. And I own a Mac.

For some reason, Fallout 3 isn't recording my trophies. I went online to try to figure out if I could troubleshoot it, and after about five minutes of fruitless Googling I stopped and thought, Why, exactly, do I care if Fallout 3 records my trophies? Even assuming I want documentary proof that I've shot 10 dogs in the head or whatever, it's not like I spend a ton of time on PSN showing off my gaming prowess. It's really a perfect example of a feature that, were I not aware that I wasn't getting it, I wouldn't miss.

But, every time I would get a trophy, the game helpfully pops up this box saying, "You did not receive a trophy. But you could have. Don't you wish you had it? And knew what it was? Well, you NEVER WILL." …Or something to that effect. Kind of takes me out of the game.
