1925 - Lenny Bruce
Bruce was the very first inflammatory comedian in America to reach some level of success. He paved the way for greats like George Carlin and Richard Prior. Taking on subjects like law, race, abortion, drugs, and Jewishhness - he created quite a stir in the mid-fifties.

1941 - Paul Simon
Without a doubt, one of the best songwriters around! His music has been a part of America's culture since he first started performing with "Simon and Garfunkel". His 1986 release "Graceland" played a huge part in introducing the notion of "World Music" to the United States... it is one of my "if you were stranded on a deserted island" albums.

1959 - Marie Osmond
I grew up watching the "Donny & Marie" show... looking back, they were pretty creepy!
