Christmas Break

Jan 08, 2006 11:46

Most of break was spent working at CVS, which gave me something to do and I made money at the same time. I spent a couple of days shopping for Christmas presents. Spent some time with friends. Overall break went well.

Christmas was relatively normal... open presents, then lots of yelling and screaming and crying (it's a very tense time of year for my family), then going to my Aunt Bonnie's house and seeing people. Between two aunts, grandma, and my cousins Mark and Melanie I got a small box of popcorn and a ten dollar bill.... frugal family, oh well... and the money was from Mark and Melanie who are in a very poor financial situation... (I should stop venting about my family).

New Year's Eve was ok, went to a party with Ralph (one of his friends), where I was the only female person and most of the guys were playing video games... so I was entertaining my self by playing with their dog, looking at a Mysterious Wonders book, then watching part of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians movie with Ralph (I wouldn't recommend the movie), and of course celebrating the turn of the new year.

New Year's day Cat, Joel, Malia, Ralph, and I went out to eat then back to Cat and Joel's appartment and watched Shrek 2 and we all had fun.

Thursday (Jan. 4) I got to see Heather Friday. We did some shopping, then saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (I think it was an ok movie... I didn't know what to expect of it). Friday I got to see Maggie Atherton (formerly Vernor... it seems strange), I got to see part of her and James new house, which seems to be undergoing massive construction (it's a fixer-upper). Maggie, myself, and our parents went out to eat at Ryan's Steakhouse... unintentially, yet kind of funny, the first time through the buffet line Maggie and I got the exact same foods. She and I have very similar tastes and interests.

This morning Angie was on TV. She was doing some modeling for a Bridal Expo, I'm not sure of the details, but I know she was doing runway for the style/fashion shows this afternoon.

Also Happy Belated Birthday to the new 21 year olds: Stephen Healey (Dec. 19), Heather Kroschel (Dec. 21), Mike Doucette (Jan. 3), and Jeff Massura (Jan. 5).
