HOWDEH!!!
I went to the doctor last week because I was losing feeling in my left hand. Additionally, I had a lump about the size of a pea-marble on the top of my hand, and it's pressing into nerves. The good news is that it's just a cyst, but the bad news is that I have to get it removed with surgery. I was thinking that I would need to do it over spring break. I told my Dad this, and he told me that I can either fly up home, or have my parents fly down here. After consulting with my doctor, it seems that I'll do it on a Friday morning, and rest the whole weekend to go back to class Monday afternoon. This way, no one has to fly--like we have the money to do that. However, I can't get it done until it's bigger because then it won't be as difficult to remove. Unfortunately, it's constricting movement in my left hand...
Good thing I'm right handed...
But I drive/do practically everything with my left. So it totally blows.
Whilst freaking out this week, I decided to take the MCAT. Not the real one, of course...That's not happening until April...But it was a practice one. Nonetheless, I was up at 8AM to shower, and take my exam at 9AM. It was incredibly windy and cold--Maryland weather is here at last. Only in Maryland, we're getting 10+ inches of snow.
ANYWAY...If ya'll don't know what the MCAT is like...Its a 7 1/2 hour test with an hour break, and two 10 minute breaks. On the MCAT, there are four sections--Biology/General Chemistry, Verbal Reasoning, Writing Sample, and Organic Chemistry. I rocked the face off of Verbal Reasoning and the Writing Sample. I did okay on the Bio/Chem one. Come around O-Chem, I just started to fill random bubbles...Well, not really. I eliminated like one or two of the four mulitple choice answers to each question that I KNEW was wrong, but after that, it was a sure guess. Some of them I remembered, like finding the molecular concentration of a solution with .005M of solvent, etc...And they had a cute titration diagram on it that actually made sense. Oh...And the Kreb Cycle xhardcorex.
But we shall see how well I sucked faired. I get my results on the 20th. If I do good, you'll hear me screaming all the way from Texas.
And I just drank a triple skinny toffee nut latte. YES FOR NEVER SLEEPING AGAIN!!!
