Yuri on Ice!! (spoiler free)
...I am about two years late watching in this, but I thought this series was ♥. The relationships and characterisation sold this one for me; it has been a while since I have been so heavily invested in characters, and it's been even longer since I felt that a relationship was heartfelt in how it came about.
However, I really didn't care for all the ice skating. As Arkada points out, YoI is not a great sports anime since it doesn't really make you invested in it. In fact, I thought most of the skating sequences were a tad bit dull, and I would have preferred more of everything, anything else. It's a shame, because this series would have been excellent, otherwise.
