I ...don't like how school starting in less than a week makes me grouchy, so ...have this instead. Snagged from istne_pieklo.

Pick a trope from this list and provide a fandom/pairing and I'll tell you something about the story I'd write for that combination (i.e. write a snippet from the story or write not!fic or tell you the title and summary for the story I ( Read more... )

John and Sherlock, pretending to be married.

John finds himself disturbed by it (because he's not *gay* damn it), but Sherlock doesn't really care and, to everyone's surprise, it's not really all that different from their 'unmarried life'.

(Which hammers home the point that Sherlock and John have been married all along.)

(Of course, in your cliche fic, you'd suddenly get all kind of *tension* resulting out of it, or Sherlock insisting they act more coupley, but I really think the sheer irony would be that nothing would change because they already *act* as if they were married, you know?)

The way I picture it is that they have to act like a couple for some case, and in that way Sherlock would be way more coupley than John for the sake of the character.

But yes, they are married. I'm not sure how I feel about CBS turning John into a girl for their new show, Elementary, because I feel it messes with the whole dynamic a bit, but I'm going to watch it and see.

Oh if you mention it that way, then yes -- but a case located somewhere where marriage is legal, and it being something Sherlock would be very *eager* to solve? (And him being freaking out poor John in the process.)

Let me think about that scenario, and I'll get back at you ^^;;

I've had someone -- well, istne_pieklo_ actually - tell me it's good if you watch like an original. But yeah, I can't over the fact that they turned John into a girl (why not turn both of them into women?).

Why does John have to be the girl? Why can't it be Sherlock (other than the obvious that there's no way to turn Sherlock into a girl's name)?

And I figure since they mention John's sister was divorcing her wife, maybe in this alternate universe London gay marriage is legal.

I'd admit I'd be all over a female Sherlock -- (hmm, a lot of genderbender fics seem to keep the *Sherlock* name even if Sherlock is a girl, which is okay I think ( ... )
