Had a beyond shitty day, woke up to this lovely meme :D
"Name a fandom, a character or pairing, and a single word. I will write a drabble featuring or based on that word."
Since I'm not really into anything beyond Sherlock, House and Geass this these days, let's abridge this a bit. You can, MAY, request anything from these fandoms. You can try other

The Gods, sometimes, have a terrible sense of humour when they're bored. Instead of playing chess, or listening to Mozart or Bach, they -God and Satan, to be more precise - decided to play a cruel trick on a mortal called Suzaku Kururugi.
Either that or you’re just helluva unlucky if you’ve been named after a phoenix.
(The one who rises from the ashes --)
Lelouch sighs as he watches Suzaku rush headlong into another of his suicide attempts that he - because denial is a river in Egypt - masquerades as a feat of noble heroism.
At the thought of that , Lelouch merely scowls.
There’s nothing noble about Suzaku climbing into the Knightmare Frame, nothing heroic about him deciding to shield that Japanese - oh sorry, mortals call them 'Elevens' these days - woman and her child from gunfire.
It’s just a death wish.
A death wish, Lelouch thinks as he flutters above all the scenery of killing and senseless mayhem, he’d willingly grant if the Gods would just let Suzaku die .
God knows (and Lelouch certainly does) the boy has tried hard enough ever since he has been nine, and that’s nearly eight years back now, and Lelouch really, really just thinks that, at this point, it would be merciful to just let Suzaku die already.
And give his soul some rest, allowing Lelouch to feed a bit on it too because he's waited for so long--
( And oh, does he want to taste that soul: a soul that, even if Suzaku thinks it is dark and horrid, would taste sweet, pure because, Lelouch knows that, underneath that shell of a hardened soldier and self-proclaimed murderer, lies nothing but a sad, frightened boy who really just needs to be healed, loved --)
Lelouch ignores that thought. He’s doing it again. His brother - whose wings are blacker than his, his blond hair fuller, lengthier because he’s been around in this business for much longer - has warned him about emotions.
Has told him how caring for mortals is nothing but unprofessional.
(“Humans all will die, one day, Lelouch. It’s their curse, their burden, and all we should do - as angels of death - is to take their souls, and ensure they either go to Heaven or Hell. Nothing less, and nothing more.Of course, not after tasting it a bit to ensure our existence.”)
Lelouch knows all that, and yet, as watches Suzaku survive again, sees the pain flashing in those green eyes, he can’t help but fly closer, and wish that his touch were tangible, would just make Suzaku feel a bit less alone. He wishes he could tell him to stop trying to die, and just live already.
(He hates how Suzaku would have - if he owned one - taken his soul away by now.)

I was still editing this <3.
But I'm glad you liked :)
I think this, if expanded, could actually function as a proper AU XD
