[Here, walking along and apparently minding his own business, be Sasuke. ...Or is it?]
[ooc: Yeah.
Thanks to a certain
someone, dormant!Orochimaru has broken free and assumed control of Sasuke's body. |D Temporarily. He's not at his full power and can't use any of Sasuke's abilities, but prepare to be attacked if he thinks you're worth his time

The fact he's seemingly in his own world, on the other hand, raises a question.Without moving from her place, she addresses him.]
Is it really that distracting?
[She's talking about whatever it is he's seemingly thinking about.]

Do I seem that distracted?

[His response seemed off somehow; his expression, maybe. Temari can't place her finger on it. Reading Sasuke was always a bit of an enigma, but she knew him well enough by this point to know when he was and was not being himself. This was not Sasuke. Temari turns to face him entirely, the skeptism apparent in her expression.]
What is it?

...Nothing. I've just had a lot on my mind lately.

With a bit of an amused huff, she realizes, it's almost like he's trying to slither his way out of this in his own way. Ironic. Maybe that was the hint she was supposed to take. It wasn't leading her anywhere.]
Hn, so you say. If I had to guess, your thinking about someone in particular.
[Her arms are crossed, head tilted slightly as she regards him.]

It's only a short moment, but recognition finally clicks in her mind. Temari's eyes widen just a fraction for a short while. The way he's acting reminds her a bit of her father before the Chuunin exams. And her father hadn't actually been her father.
Orochimaru, then; of all the...]
I would say Sakura, but I think your problem is more poised to strike, like a snake.

*the corner of his mouth quirks a bit -- very un-Sasuke-like, should you catch it* Really? Why would it be?

[Temari is more than well aware she's not one to take on a Sannin like Orochimaru by herself, but it doesn't turn off the smugness in her words or the way she stands, hand on her hip with that same attitude that seemed to bleed into her during battle. Maybe she couldn't fight the Sannin, but there was a chance Sasuke was still around inside him.
She just had to wake him up.]
I'm disappointed; I wonder what Mikoto would say if she saw you? Damn, Sasuke, you are just like all the rest. Weak.

I'm sorry to say Sakura tried. And if what happened to her didn't wake him up, I'm sure it'll take much more than this.

An eyebrow quirks lightly at the mention of Sakura; what happened to her...? She glares a bit, but otherwise her emotions stay in tact. Push your personal bias aside, your emotions- they have no place in a battle. She could concern herself with Sakura and anyone else he had come in contact with before her after this was over. Psychological training, she'd preached to Shikamaru about it before.
She'd be damned before she showed weakness with it here.]Tch. I don't expect him to be concerned with me. I'm not a team mate, persistent annoyance or love interest. What would Sasuke have to do with a ninja from Suna ( ... )

*oh, don't you know that I'm more ninja than that?* Quite a good liar. Almost as good as Sasuke-kun was. *and OH HEY here's a sword coming out of his mouth and slashing at her chest in a downward motion. Screw looking for an opening, he's tired of her attitude already.*

[She had prepared herself for retort, and her eyes widen a bit at the sword that suddenly appears from his mouth; where had that come from?! Temari reaches with her left arm for her fan, right shoulder turning to take the brunt of the sword impact if she's too slow.
For a momentary second, the feeling of steel in her flesh is all she knows; then it's the sound of steel on steel, pressing the edge of her fan with the combined force of it's opening into the bottom edge of the sword, anchoring it from being able to press further into her arm. There is a pained expression on her face, grit teeth, but no sound of pain or halt in the pressure of her defense, even with it being controlled by the weaker of her arms.
Dammit. This was not that way to start a fight. Temari moves her right hand onto the handle of the fan, and with the sword still placed half an inch into her shoulder, she pulls up roughly, hoping to anchor the damn thing out of her body.]
