In any case, anger, she can deal with more easily than any other emotion. All the same, she hates that it gives him satisfaction at seeing it. Partners in the Pure-Blood Society or not -- allies or not -- there's just something about him that edges at her the wrong way ever since the beginning. And he's always made a point at exploiting that for his amusement. ]

Here's something to think about: who are you actually angry at? Me, for making you feel things you couldn't understand...or yourself, for liking how it felt? I didn't hurt you, and you know I didn't do anything you didn't want me to do.

But normally, she'd have no problems acting first and resolving issues later. In fact, for most, Miho would have already pulled out her toys and disposed of the minor annoyance without ever missing a beat. But it's more than the promise she made to Jill about not killing her 'children' that stays the assassin's hand. It certainly has nothing to do with what little truth is in that load of garbage he's spouting. She just can't quite put her finger on the why. And from the way things tend to go, she'll never find out.

But that doesn't stop her front narrowing her eyes a bit and fixing him in her sights. The fact that she hasn't attacked him yet is enough for her to be satisfied in knowing he doesn't have as much control over her as he thinks or likes to believe. ]

[Well. Self-control has nothing to do with it, as far as Sync's concerned. In fact, he's pretty sure the reason she doesn't go after him outright is because she knows he's an even match for her in a fight...and the one time they had faced off for real, he'd easily out-maneuvered her. He knows she's too smart to let him do that again, and if he's trying to provoke her into attacking...but he could just be overthinking things and giving her too much credit, now, couldn't he. B3]

Are you holding back right now because you still don't really know how you felt at that moment? Or is because you're not quite sure if you can take me?

[ Neither would be the answer. Or maybe the first was hitting a little too close to home. Either way, she remained there staring and watching with little a neutral observance. Because anything she did in response to his egging would only serve to give him he results he wanted and was waiting for. Or so she assumed, There was still a lot she was unsure of when it came to Sync and his intentions,none of which could greatly benefit any of them in dealing with his acid personality. Still, there were no regrets in trying. And if they could manage to get him from picking at her nerves as often as he did, she would count that a victory in and of itself.

Instead, she stood tall, or as tall as Miho could be with her small stature, and clenched her jaw against the impulses scrolling across her mind in white text amid the darkness and silence. ]

I respect you. The fact that I haven't killed you before now should say that much.

You've proven yourself as an asset, but that alone isn't enough to earn my respect -- you took the circumstances you were given and shaped them to your benefit. Physical skills aside, you did what you had to survive. It's strong -- and it's admirable.
