[His tone is light and playful, but he gives a sort of surprised blink at the words that are coming out of his mouth because...they're noooot really what he WANTED to say. 8|a Which was 'Sasu-wanwan is a real charmer! A true gentleman~ ♥' He keeps talking, though, and those too-honest words keep switching themselves with what he'd intended to say.]
Physical similarities aside...you can tell from the way they treat people and the look in their eyes that they lost something--someone--very dear to them at a young age, and they've never really recovered from that pain...
[...And THIS part makes it out "un-truthified" because...it IS really what he thinks, lmao:]
...Which is why I can't leave either of them alone! ♥ If I did that, they'd never interact with anyone at all, and I like them both far too much to let that happen. They're both way nicer deep down inside than they let on, and care about people super-strongly! They're like the hero in one of those shounen manga Kuro-pii ( ... )

I don't need you looking after me. [Ever flat, of course, but lacking the usual bite of irritation or disregard here.]

[With some obvious effort he forces his mouth closed...and he manages it because what he was about to say would be honesty about himself, not Sasuke. And even now, he's still smiling, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes--and this time that's obvious. So he closes his eyes.]
Anyway~ No need to thank me, Sasu-myuu! ♥

You're annoying, obnoxiously outspoken, and have somehow managed to be ten times worse than Naruto.
[And for a moment it seems like that could've been his blatant insight and had absolutely nothing to do with the Truth Thing -- but then comes the next part.]
...But you seem like a decent person, especially if Sakura looks up to you as much as she does. I do think I could trust you to be there for her when it counted--

[He's quiet for a moment, and the way his head is turned and his hair falls temporarily hides his expression; but there's a bitterly amused sort of tone to his voice, which is rather atypically soft and reserved. THE COMPELLING POWER OF TRUTHINESS IS JUST TOO MUCH TO RESIST DX]
..."Decent", hmm...?
[SO MUCH ICONFACE, I DON'T EVEN]
Just because Sakura-chan cares about someone doesn't necessarily mean they're a good person, or that they're truly trustworthy. If you don't mind, I'd like you to do us--and her--a favour, and keep that in mind.

...But you can rest assured that, so long as it is within my power, I would willingly give my life to protect the Princess.

And then he just turns aside with a dismissive sound -- cough and you'll miss it.]

Well, so long as we understand each other.

I can't say it enough, but I appreciate everything you've done. I know your job's far from easy, and the fact that you stick with it on top of managing it as well as you do -- it's admirable. Before you came along, I honestly... never really felt entirely safe leaving them, but -- I know they're in good hands with you. Thank you.

But yeeeeeeeah. Far from easy is somewhat of an understatement when you include Sync among your children. Especially when he starts picking on Ion and/or Luke or is just in a foul mood to cause trouble no matter who's the victim. And this look she's giving Jill now says that and much more of just how much her kids suck sometimes.
But as she looks off to the side, Nanny Miho's reminded that there is Ion and Nill, who aren't so bad. And occasionally Luke when he's not being a mama's boy. Haine too, when he's around long enough to look after. And of course the new little one is exceptionally good when she's not crying or pooping. More importantly... Miho's finding that she's starting to... enjoy the fact that she's starting to feel like she belong somewhere. Leave it to a bunch of freak experiments to make her feel like she has a family to call her own. ]

...Yeah, she catches that look. So have a bit of a sympathetic (if not a little apologetic) smile.] ...I know. Considering their role models, you had your work cut out for you from day one. [Admittedly, yeah, Wesker's not the only influence (thank God) in those kids' lives, but some seem to have picked up mama's rebellious streak she could a monster as a teenager, btw, for good or... not so good. ^^;] I'm just relieved you didn't turn and run back then.
I know they don't always say it, either, but they appreciate you, too. [Pause--she's not gonna lie. They both know how some of them are.] Most of them.

But have a headtilt at that. There was no assurance behind the reason she had been hired for the job, at least not at first. But after an hour of seeing how the children function and just... what taking care of them would entail, Miho understood. It could only be her, or at least someone like her; someone nearly indestructible as much as most of the children were. Only then could they hope to keep someone long enough to have something stable and lasting.
And... she can trust that both Ion and Nill appreciate her being there at least. She's not gonna assume for the rest of them. ]

Ohhh, the number of potential nannies they went through prior to Miho. :| ...Well, "she," not "they," really, since she was the only one looking for a helping hand. Most turned and ran at the mention of a whole seven kids in total; of those who didn't, Jill had to use her best judgment to weed out those who (literally) wouldn't survive long as well as those likely to cross Wesker in any sort of way (although that goes back to that "wouldn't survive long" category), and then of course there came background checks and the like... A long and painful process, in short, which made finally finding Miho a blessing in more ways than one.
Jill crosses her arms thoughtfully.] You know Haine and Kanda both have soft spots for Nill. They might have acted too old to need a nanny [or a mother], but I know they were glad to have someone watching out for their little sister. It's the same ( ... )
