What research would we like to see?

I've noticed several posts recently by undergrad researchers, looking for people to join their studies.

But what areas would WE like to see studied? If you could fund research, or even do it yourself, what would you look at?

activism, stuff to read

. . . or almost any other health condition. I keep hearing that "they think" it might make various problems worse, but there don't seem to be any actual studies on the effects of hormones on trans people in terms of the rest of their physical health.

Yeah, I'd like to know the long-term effects of hormones on the trans folk who take them.

Yeah. I have multiple health issues and am frequently asked by well-meaning specialists if my transition/hormones are related to them in any way. I don't know. No one knows.

Not just physical health! I have several mental health concerns, and because of the unknown, I am not willing to take the risk of changing my body chemistry at all. I'm unstable enough as it is, and I fear that any change could set things off - and a change where I have very little information aside from highly conflicting anecdotes? That's scary.
