Some scientists have been finding differences between MRI scans of FtM people (without hormone treatment) and non-FtMs. Here is the link: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn20032-transsexual-differences-caught-on-brain-scan.html

"They found significant differences between male and female brains in four regions of white matter - and the female-to-male transsexual people had white matter in these regions that resembled a male brain (Journal of Psychiatric Research, DOI: 10.1016/j.jpsychires.2010.05.006). "It's the first time it has been shown that the brains of female-to-male transsexual people are masculinised," Guillamon says."

I'm thinking this is one of those things that could be good or bad, depending on who does what with it and what assumptions the people doing the studies are making. But I don't know that much about it. I do think this is much better than depending on genetic make-up. However, I am leery of how this is going to work. It may be helpful for FtM kids, but what about kids who just don't fit the binary and have no medical reason for it?

Does anyone else have any info on this? Thoughts?
