Coming out to friends
Can you share some of your coming-out-to-friends stories?
I'm planning on coming out to my closest friends, but I'm kind of terrified of how they'll react. My best friend has known me since I was 12, and I'm worried he won't be able to wrap his head around calling me a new name and using masculine pronouns. Even other friends I haven't known quite as long, I'm worried they'll find it weird.
Also, has anyone here ever had to deal with close friends who have had a hard time dealing with your transition? I'm hoping my friends will be supportive, but I guess I'm trying to prepare myself for the worst.
