safe2pee / gender neutral bathrooms
I wanted to say thanks to everyone who has added to safe2pee over the past 9 months. A few days ago we received our thousandth submission! In all we've amassed over 1038 gender neutral bathrooms in over 300 North American cities.
Also, I'm pleased to announce, we just launched an effort that will make the web site a lot more useful. You can now find locations near you by proximity, and what's better is you can do this through text message or email on your phone. You text/email what you want to local at safe2pee dot org and will receive a note with the closest bathrooms (within a mile or two). In the body of the message you include:
near [address here]
examples would be
near market and castro san francisco,ca
near 1100 polk st san francisco ca
Finally, our provider updated the PHP version on the server and that is going to make it easier to create a worldwide version and support all international locations. When that launches we'd love some help translating a page or two, so if you're multilingual and would like to help, please let us know! Thanks
