Warnings/Notes:Soundwave-centric, this fic is the immediate sequel to 'Descant' in the 'Sound and Fury' series. It takes place in the same continuity as 'Giants of the Earth', but is set hundreds of thousands of years earlier, on prewar Cybertron. The character designs, for the most part, are movie-verse with the addition of G1 colors and minor modifications as needed. Warnings for euthanasia and combat-style violence in this chapter.

//--the frag? Almost had it locked in!//
//Down the service conduit,// Red sent grimly. The small, twisting passages used by service mecha went everywhere in the arena, and were used to drag the injured off the arena sands and to place new props or hazards, even in the middle of the battle. The warren was difficult to map, and hard to access. //He has our schematics,// Red Alert hissed, //How? Who leaked them?!//
