Characters/Pairing: this chapter--Ravage, Soundwave, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Rumble, and Frenzy, plus various OCs and other side characters.
Warnings/Notes:Soundwave-centric, this fic is the immediate sequel to 'Descant' in the 'Sound and Fury' series. It takes place in the same continuity as 'Giants of the Earth', but is set hundreds of thousands of years earlier, on prewar Cybertron. The character designs, for the most part, are movie-verse with the addition of G1 colors and minor modifications as needed. Warnings for mentions of abuse and its aftermath in this chapter.
Beyond Kaon, the moves that were being made were entirely predictable--at least to one who knew history as Soundwave did. While never before had a Lord Protector so completely defied his Prime--or a reigning Prime so spurned his Lord Protector, depending upon one’s perspective--the Senate’s actions in response to Megatron’s defection had been nothing if not typical.
