Just an odd thought from a conversation last night. I think Christianity got the holy trinity from some spiritualist talking about the body. The father, the son and the holy ghost = your physical body, your mind and your soul.
Thus we are all gods walking amongst ourselves. The father will normally wilt away before the son. And without the spirit, the father and son are just an empty cask.
