Welcome to 2009...
I've been so busy after work the past few days that I've barely touched LJ.
But here is my post welcoming in the new year.
2007 was an awesome year. 2008 was even better and was quite possibly the best year of my life.
I'm ready for 2009 to blitz that again :)
I had a brilliant night for celebrating NYE, starting out at the House of B&D where there were COPIOUS amounts of balloons (the challenge was to fill the lounge room). We also had a lovely and tasty dinner, followed by awesome light and fluffy chocolate mousse made by maharetr *swoon*
I then headed into Perth on what was the loudest train ride ever - but everyone was in such good spirits that it was amusing and interesting rather than annoying. Crossing the platforms, I was mistaken for security by some drunk revellers. *cue hilarity* Me. Mistaken for security.
Got to mossiah's party and proceeded to have a brilliant time - met some new people, got to know a few people better, and all in all burbled happily for a few hours.
Caught the 4am train home, in bed by 5am. Yay for transperth - now if only they'd do stuff like this all summer long. I'd never go home.
Today I'm heading out for breakfast (nowish) with my Stepdad and then catching up with e_dan in the afternoon.
Presumably a some point I'll see the boys ;) I've barely seen them this week - so likely they will be pounced with copious affection later today :P
