Friday night was partying, thanks to an invite to join them from
prk and
amarillion at a b'day party for some gorgeous crazy people in East Perth. Then there was the awesomeness of clubbing - though I should point out that
ascetic_hedony was more enamoured of the poles at Connies than me :P
My happy point was sitting against the wall and listening to the music and zoning out. It wasn't the kind of music I like to dance to - I have hopes for better next time :)
I got home at 4.30am blissfully tired, relaxed and a lot less stressed. K was actually home though instead of staying over elsewhere, which was a surprise since I woke him up :P
Saturday night was
lady_niav's b'day party which was lovely, further destressing, conversation and catching up. Loved it.
Sunday was relaxing till the wasff meeting, then it was reasonably frustrating, but there were some good moments too :) I left when
amarillion rescued
prk, which was a good thing because it meant that I was able to meet up with
ascetic_hedony when he called.
We went and watched 'Razzle Dazzle' at the movies - it was a good movie, but not great. It had kids in costumes with big hair that looked a little bit like the 'nerf' material (iwantbighair...). Then I mentioned that 'Take the Lead' has a three way tango in it. That sold him on watching that with me too :P We've resolved in future to watch dancing movies on Saturday afternoons before clubbing so as to take advantage of the bouncyness involved :P
We also talked about what it would be like if we ran our own gay club:
* there would be a vortex like hallway with whirly paint (and possibly fiber optic whirly lights)
* there would be poles
* there would be lots of fiber optic whirly lights
I forget if we got further than that :P
Last night
dormant_dragon cooked - what a blessing. She cooked sweet chilli tenderloins on a warm salad of sugar snap peas, broccolini, and various other green bits - very very yummy!
fred_mouse and I caught up briefly yesterday afternoon about Tin Ducks, which are now all organised. I may also have volunteered to run the awards this year... but I'm quite excited about it now that I have a good idea for it :)
Also,
fred_mouse and i may be plotting wicked plotting thoughts :P
K wasn't feeling the best yesterday, no sleep Sunday and not for any good reason and then his boss abused him and came close to hitting him when he went to actually physically pick up his final pay when it wasn't in his bank account. He still hasn't got the balance of any leave he might have accrued, but we're unsure if pursuing it at this point is worthwhile...
He was at Punch on Saturday morning (he's there again this morning), and the boss was exceptionally impressed with him. He's going to feature one of K's coffees on the new menu, and essentially, making coffee seems to be just the beginning of the boss' plans for him :) Apparently the boss used to be the Australian reps for George Lucas and some other big name person some years back (during the original Star Wars release)... but it was actually coffee that he was passionate about. His company's coffee is now in the top 5% of premium coffee served around the world. No wonder K adores it. :)
Enough from me, far too much babble already.
