This is Shae-mod with a few announcements!
Future Apps/Podpops
A few of you have asked what invite-only means, and if we're still going to have pops.
Pops will continue to happen every three months, with the next one happening on April 1st (apps open in March). The application process will not change; you'll still email it to the mods at trans9freshmeat[at]gmail[dot]com.
Only players that are currently in the game may app, or people that have been invited by current players. What this means is that you can no longer put ads for the game up on ATP or other communities. HOWEVER. If you see someone offering a character you would like in the game, you can invite them. We'll be adding a section to the app for new players to state who they received an invitation from.
Upcoming Plots
We're still working out the details on a few of them, but this is the current list:
Daimon's Darksoul, Babel (right after podpop)
Marriage Planet (Late Jan/Early Feb)
Melting Clock (Mid to late Feb)
Mark of Kain (Early to mid March)
Council Elections
Since Roy Mustang, Chaucer, Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker have been repodded, we're short four Council members--and they need to be replaced as quickly as possible.
The Council's job is to be in charge of day-to-day life. If it doesn't involve fighting the Ohm (or any other threats that need fighting), you make the rules. You can pass laws and appoint Department Heads if any step down or need to be replaced. Power is shared evenly among the members of the Council, although the Chairman helps ensure that things run smoothly and is in charge of making the final decision.

Positions on the Council will be very demanding both ICly and OOCly. Even if your character would be the Best Councilperson Evar ICly, you need to be able to handle the additional time commitment OOCly.
If you don't feel you can handle the responsibility or time commitment, please, please do not throw your character in the mix just because you think it would be OOC for them not to run. We cannot stress this enough.
We'll throw up a post for nominations soon, so you have some time to think about if you'd like to nominate someone. It's looking like what we're going to do is have you guys nominate your characters OOCly, give them five to six days maximum to speak their case (possibly one OOC post for all their speeches/notes on what they did to campaign to streamline it?), and then hold the vote. That way, we still get some on-screen time, but it doesn't drag forever.
Morphing Cube
There was a post tossed up in November, here. Once we get a full Council again, we can begin IC discussions for how it's going to be handled.
When us mods decided to let the cube in the game, we put limits on it because it is a bit game breaky. Due to it being reverse-engineered, it can't be used very often before running out of power (unknown how many times), and there is an increased risk of an allergy, meaning that someone's body may reject the morphing power. Manda and TC would like Iniss and Schmuz to have an allergy to the power so that they can explore the biotech and Stacy!clone options. For the clone option, only the DNA of baseline, normal humans will be used, and only accepted from volunteers.
A very good thing about this is that for any future yeerk muns that show up, they'll have a bunch of options on what they want to do with their character.
Mandatory Physicals/Psychiatric Evaluations
Technically, these should have started by now and have been running in the background, even though Will just tossed up something for the psych evals here.
GG, Varis, anyone else that has medical characters that would be involved in running that, how do you want to handle it? We're leaving it in your capable hands. :)
