From what and how absolute? I could probably find a staff or two, there's quite a collection.

To keep something in a space the size of an average house, for several days to possibly a week or more. I would prefer nothing that causes actual harm.

Human. It just needs to keep them from getting out.

If you want to go simple but functional, some wall spells, iron or stone, might suffice.

I found what I believe to be, or am at least calling, a staff of walls. It should do the trick, and I'll toss in a scroll of stoneshape. Just please pass it back when you're done, I'd very much like to study it further.
