Masquerade Ball
Dear Ship Crew,
The mood on board has been rather solemn for some time now, but has been continuing to improve. In Kuninoryu, there was a yearly tradition held within the walls of my castle. A ball in which all the participants from all over from any class would dress in costumes and masks, and would dance with various partners throughout the evening. When the clock struck three, all would remove their masks to see who it was they had been dancing with, and then would endeavour to find the faces of the other people they had danced with. As I am aware most of the people on board are diurnal, I shall be changing the time of the reveal to twelve midnight.
It was a fantastic way to meet new people, and to create friends that would bridge the usual socio-economical boarders. It would give people new contacts for business, of course, but the ultimate goal was to find a new friend that you may have otherwise never met.
I have had yet to see such a gathering on the ship, and I hope that I can change that.
I will be holding the party in a week in the sensoriums, and this message is hereby an invitation to all residents on the ship. Being the sensoriums, there will be no need to acquire your own costume, though I will be providing a room to the side of the entrance hall filled with various costume ideas should you need them.
If you plan on attending, I ask that you RSVP here, so that I may gauge interest and perhaps look to plan other such events.
