In an island area of the park is the sometimes staid, sometimes festive Yamato Sector (which seemed strangely familiar to some of the crew, no doubt). Souvenir swords? Okonomiyaki? Sunset beaches filled with the SPRINGTIME OF OUR YOUTH? Medieval warlords drinking wine from human (shaped) skulls? They're all here!

In one area of the park is a summer festival, with food stalls, games, and in evening-simulated areas, the soft glow of rows of lanterns strung along the streets. Fireworks would be visible at "nighttime", high above the rooftops and storefronts.

Stuff that's around: takoyaki, goldfish scooping, okonomiyaki, mask stalls and the like!

That's where you're likely to find Matsuda Takato and Guilmon, both Tamer and Digimon staring in awe at how well-organized the place was!

...Takato, actually; Guilmon was busy staring around at the food stands.

"Alright boy, let's take this one step at a time. First we've gotta see..."

"Guilmon's hungry, Takato. Time to eat!"

Atom was so busy looking around at all the food stands he barely noticed Takato and Guilmon until he was almost right on top of them. He blinked at the sight of Guilmon, surprised.

"Hey! Are you guys from the ship?"

"Uh...yeah, we are." Takato replied, barely keeping Guilmon from sniffing Atom outright. "I'm Takato, and he's Guilmon. I'm a Tamer, he's my partner and that's a pretty long story."

Atom blinked, looking curiously at Guilmon, but not offended in any way. "Tamer? You mean like those guys at Captchaland?"

"TAAAAKOOOOOYAAAAAAAKIIIIIIIIIII~~!" There goes Rein in a full oufit, flitting from stall to stall. She missed her Japanese food and was loading up on traditional festival food.

"Uh...hey, wait a second!" Takato went after Rein, a confused look on his face while Guilmon ran after his Tamer. "Don't I know you from somewhere on board?!"

"Hmm?" asked Rein, turning around holding a Takoyaki just as big as her head. "Oh yeah, I know you! You're one of Taichi's friends, right?

Oh yeah, Jr. was all over that. Holding a stick in one hand with a few skewered takoyaki balls, he worked on that while in his other hand he was holding a plate of the okonomiyaki to get to once he was finished with that. And even as he walked, he glanced around at the other stalls, trying to decide what to treat himself to after he finished off what he carried.

After all, young boys needed food, even if they weren't growing boys.

Zouichi spotted Jr. through the crowd and made his way over, holding a container of yakisoba. Yep. Even people who didn't eat occasionally felt like sampling the food when it was available. Besides, where else was he going to get this stuff?

"Hey. I saw a ramen stall down that way, if you're interested."

Jr, turned around, giving Zouichi a wave with the hand he held his balls the takoyaki in. "Hey, Zhou!" he called through a half-full mouth. He eyed the container he held, and gulped down his food.

"Really? You bet I am! It's felt like forever since I had so much real food at my fingertips like this!"

Zouichi covered his mouth to keep from laughing. "It has been a while, hasn't it?" He pointed to a brightly lit stall in the distance, visible through all the passersby.

"Last one there buys the other lunch. Ready?" Before waiting for an answer, he took off, weaving his way through the crowd.

Like hell Jr. was going to run with so much precious food in his hands.

"Zouichi you bastard! I don't wanna drop anything!"

So he walked.

Speed-walked.

Zouichi slowed, then backtracked a little to let Jr. catch up. "Okay, okay. I'll pay for this one, then. Maybe we should get a bag for you or something."

Clearly the solution was to finish your food, Jr.!

"Nah, I think I can finish what I have quick enough." He was almost done with the takoyaki, at any rate.

"This place is pretty cool, huh?" he observed as he took another bite.

"It is. Sort of like 20th century Japan... from what I've read about it, anyway." He sat down at a stool in front of the ramen stool, glancing at the menu. "I'll have a shio ramen, please... extra char siu."

Then he turned back toward Jr. "So, gotten some time to reacquaint yourself with your friends?"
