Ruff let out a noise somewhere between a grunt and a squawk as she was pounced on. She immediately set to tussling with him which set them bouncing down a small grassy hill with some hair pulling and light punches. They crashed to the bottom of the hill and she flopped with him half on and half off her laughing.
"Aw that sucks man." Ruff was well aware of how attached Hana became to people, and his roommate in particular. When he asked her for news though she brightened, her sudden relationship of coarse being the first thing that sprang to mind. "Oh well I-" She caught herself suddenly so sharp that she bit her tongue mid-word. Mindy had warned her not to tell most people about about their kissing and becoming girlfriends. While the pain in her tongue smarted she barely noticed because she was busy trying to figure out what to say. Finally she fumbled her words,
"Nothin' really, just hanging out. Was thinking about remodeling one of the bars in the hotel if the ghosts will let me...or maybe I could take one of the bigger rooms and do it. Like this Bar Mindy showed me that had really cool music."
Hana pulled a puzzled expression at Ruffnuts fumbling, it wasn't like her to do anything but just say what came to mind, and she'd seemed so happy before she'd stopped. "Err..."
She seemed to snap out of it though, so he tried to move on like she did. "The bar, huh? I'm sure they won't mind. They've been pretty cool with most of the changes you've made."
"Really?" She seemed surprised, probably because she was such an easy target for Ghost pranks she was lucky to go a full day without two or three.
"Oh it was like this." She changed the setting from Berk to the bar that Mindy had brought her to. It was an old club, some cross between a biker bar, a punk rock club, and Ruff had added a little Viking flare to some of the decorations. Once again she was in a leather jacket, camo combat pants and a white T-shirt with some sort of flag on it she didn't recognize. Apparently she had stolen the outfit from a girl by the pay phone who was wearing the same outfit.
In the backround nice loud angry chicks were singing/screaming and guitars owned the air.
"Yeh, they just love messing with you, that's all. They think you pull funny faces." He pulled her nose and chuckled.
Hana winced slightly at first as his ears adjusted to the volume. He looked around the bar and then nodded at Ruff, giving her a thumbs up and a smile. "Pretty cool!" He yelled back.
"Yeah!" She shouted back, "Mindy brought me here a couple nights ago and we danced and...and stuff!" Ruff's face grew red at the memory and she tried to push it away for the sake of not betraying her newfound girlfriend. The music turned down as she willed it and she took a mug of drink from the bar drinking from it. It turned out to be milk and she wasn't disappointed.
"Must have been pretty good." Hana wasn't sure what the other 'stuff' was, what else did you do at a bar? Drink, maybe?
He noticed something and leaned in, peering right into her face, because personal space was a new concept Hana was only just grasping with age, and didn't really bother using it around Ruffnut. "S'up with you? You're all red."
That caused Ruff to swallow her milk hard and she felt some of it burning in her nose. She grabbed a napkin and blew her nose hard. "Nothing." She hacked and coughed. "We didn't do anything I swear!"
But Ruffnut's imagination had a way of running away with her, and Tuffnut who had long since been absent in her trips to the Sensorium lately made his triumphant return hooting like a frat boy.
Ruff turned shocked by the noise spinning in her stool as she saw projections of herself and Mindy on the floor locking lips.
Well, that was just even more confusing. "Do? Do what? I didn't say you did anything. What didn't you do?" Because, he knew from experience, that usually meant they had done something.
Just as he was about to quiz her some more, he turned and spotted the two girls kissing on the floor. It took him a moment to realize what was going on, and even longer to see who it was.
He tilted his whole head completely sideways, eyebrows cocked. "Is that... You and Mindy?"
She made a noise that was somewhere between a squeak and a groan and a whine. She coughed and swallowed hard her face blazing red.
Tuffnut continued to cackle like a rooster.
"One second." She stood up, picked up her stool and swung hard smashing it into her brother knocking him off the bar and shattering the world around them leaving them back in the field with the sheep.
"Uh...so...yeah." She hung her head instantly deflated. "We kinda sorta...I guess we're dating now, and like...kissing. We do that some." She said it bracing as if she expected a bolt of lightning to come from the heavens and blast her off the face of the Earth.
"I didn't know you two were going out." He stated simply, blushing a little, still watching the two of them before he became distracted when she whacked her brother.
"Oh." He said when she explained, rubbing the back of his head, unsure what to say. "Well, er... cool!" Hana smiled sheepishly. "I mean, that's awesome, right?"
Hana noticed her expression and dropped his cheerful attitude. "Isn't it?"
She straightened up stiffening and flailing her arms a little "O-of coarse it's awesome! I-it's...it's totally amazing I just..." She hung her head again, "I wasn't supposed to tell anyone except like...you know my friends from back home. It was supposed to be kinda hush hush and I totally blew it. Mindy's gonna be pissed now." She mumbled ashamed of herself for blowing it so fast.
"What?" Hana tried to lean down and twist his head to peer at her downcast face, straining his ears to catch what she was saying.
"Dude, I can't hear you when you mumble like that." Her thick accent combined with mumbling and her mouth being somewhat obscured by those massive braids meant he could barely make out half her words.
"You can't tell anyone? What, like, anyone at all? Why not?" Now he was really confused.
She straightened up again so he could hear her better but she was still looking at the ground confused and worried, "She said I could tell like...like you know Zetta because he trains us and would find out, and Lash because she's always around, and like...Astrid and Hiccup because they're the only friends I have from back home, but I guess if alot of people know she thinks they'll get upset or something because we're both girls or whatever." She rolled her shoulders in a shrug "I don't care about upsetting others I just don't wanna make her mad you know?"
He gave her a hearty wave as he jogged towards her, signature grin spread across his face.
After clearing a few sheep with some jumps, he launched himself onto the vikings stomach in their customary rough and tumble greeting. "Yo!"

"Just came to hang out. Cassandra's gone on a mission so I won't see her for awhile. Figured you could keep me from getting too bored."
Hana pulled on her braid playfully. "What have you been up too?"

So much for keeping it a secret...
