Compared to yesterday where the sensoriums had gotten so much use, Lash was glad that it was mostly quiet as she slipped into a free one. The day had passed relatively quickly thanks to running mazes, but even that hadn't gotten her as joyful as she should be, as strange and exciting as it had been

It happened to be unfortunate luck that Jinx would wander into the Sensorium at just the wrong moment. A scream and she was knocked into the air by the explosion. Instinct kicked in and she adjusted her flight path in the air hoping to land on her feet.

"What the hell is this treachery?" She shouted and blasted back with a wave of pink hex magic at the offending grunts.

Wither it was good luck or just something else, Jinx landed close to where Lash was standing, and she gave the other girl a half-hearted wave even as the pink hex killed some of her soldiers.

"Hey."

"Ugh...war games." Jinx remarked catching on and brushing some dirt from her sleeve. "Having fun are we?" She glanced at Lash and read her body language easy enough, "...no, no we're not."

Yeah good job at catching Lash in her moodiest er...mood. She gave another sigh before answering, pushing another rock awaym watching it fall down to the ground far, far far below.

"It's pretty boring right now," she admitted. "Never had that problem before."

Jinx glanced at the chaos Lash's army was causing. "Well...if you say so." She looked back to Lash, "How often do you play this game? Maybe you need something different."

"It's pretty much how I spend most of my time off." She looked around, as the battle suddenly froze mid-fight.

"You have another idea?"

"Well, I enjoy a nice ego stroking when I come through here."

A crowd appeared and triumphant music was playing, Suddenly Lash was in a dress accepting some kind of sparkly glittery golden statue shaped like a death ray.

"The fun part is, the award actually is a death ray." Jinx called wearing an equally (If not more) elegant dress.

"W-what?" were the only words that came out of her mouth as she clutched the golden statue, looking down and realizing she was in a dress. OH GOD IT ITCHED she hated it. Of course, that was just after she accidentally pressed the gun and sending out a blast right into the middle of the crowd.

At least the person didn't suffer too much before a pile of ash took place over his seat. The clapping stopped for a half-second before continuing again.

"What the--" she would have said something else, but the high heels she wore caused her to trip and fall.

Jinx swiftly caught her and using her momentum tossed her in the air. Before she landed the scene had changed again to a beautiful white sand beach with crashing waves, fruity little drinks of various alcohol contents. Now they were in swim suits.

"Or maybe a nice relaxing stretch." Jinx was lounging in a chair now rubbing suntan lotion on her perfectly pale long slender legs.

Hey okay, that reminded her of when she had turned the sensoriums into a giant beach party. Still not feeling well, at least, she could feel moopy and depressed in the sun. That totally counted, right?

Right.

Besides, swimsuits were a thousand times better than any old dress.

"...I guess that is slightly better."

"Well good, we're taking a step in the right direction then."

To supplement the scene attractive men and women in skimpy bathing suits arrived with fans and drinks and snacks. They were all quiet as to not disturb the tranquility of the scene.

"You have a reputation you know, around the ship?" Jinx pointed out stirring her drink. "For being manic and loud, always on the move. One of the few people on this ship who actually has fun with the whole "Worlds at stake war against the aliens" Scenario."

She sipped the blue beverage first and then "But looking at you right now I'd say that's not all together true."

The men and women might have been attractive to Jinx, but Lash was barely looking at them. She did grab some of the candy, mind you, they just weren't that interesting to look at.

But she did have a point.

"Tsshk," she answered, clicking the mouth of her palate when she did. "Even maniacs have their off days. Guess this is mine." Pouty face.

"I think it's more then that." Jinx mused ushering over a girl with an umbrella to shade her from the sun. "I may not know you very well, but I know maniacs." She winked "Besides sometimes it's easier to be honest to a stranger then it is to the people who care about you. At least that's what I hear. I wouldn't know. I have a distinct lack of people who care in this world or my own."

"Uh so do I..." Lash said, totally not being a hypocrite or ignoring people she cared about because she totally didn't care about anyone, thank you very much. "Caring about people that is." Yeap sure. Totally true.

"'Sides. I'm from Black Hole. One of the first things they teach you is not to go around diverging secrets to people who might end up being your foes one day. You never know and all that."

Except Lash had done that A LOT OF TIMES. Also the fact she wore most of her emotions on the outside, like iron-face Hawke or narcissist Adder. She shrugged again.

"How was your world like?"

Well if Lash wanted to play coy that was her business, Jinx was in the business of making contacts and associates lately.

"Advanced technology but still in touch with traditional values in some places. A real mish mash of cultures and ideas. Intergalactic travel is possible but not widespread yet. Mutations, magic, and science grant amazing powers to the people of my planet while other races from beyond the stars treat our planet as some kind of interstellar hub. Most of us look humanoid though."

As she explained the setting melted and shifted again leaving them floating through the air over a city, one that Lash might remember from Beastboy's Sensorium tours.

"And this is where I used to live, but I was thinking of moving."

Lash had an excellent memory and this did indeed bring back memories of one(1) Beastboy's Sensorium tours. in fact it was so much into uncanny valley she had to ask.

"Hey wait a minute! Isn't this where the Teen Titans live too?"
