Contact [Bendy timed to 3 or 4 days after Lirath]

In the aftermath of the battle at Lirath, Stacy had been severely damaged. Though she still eventually managed to build up enough power to resume course, she was obviously struggling, her pace far slower than normal. She could barely even manage to directly address those who needed to speak with her, instead allowing the more monotone voice of the ( Read more... )

Kerrigan watched as they came aboard. She had her arms folded over her chest. Her hands grasped her own flesh, digging in hard.

She tried to evaluate the Daligig on a tactical level but the personal interfered. All she could picture were a team of Daligig stripping her naked, cutting her open, tampering with her mind just like the Confederacy.

She could hear her teeth grinding together. She felt both disgusted and disgusting. Used and damaged and violated. And those feelings projected, unconsciously, all around her. She pulsed with barely controlled anger.

Kerrigan walked purposefully to the Daligig, addressing the self declared leader of everyone on this ship.

"Care to explain why you experimented on me? I'm sure it was justified by your delusion that it was for greater good."

The Kessek soldiers around Yavek bristled as she approached and spoke, but the Daligig waved them off for the moment.

"I did no such thing. If the previous crew did such things to you, then I am sure they had their own reasons for it."

Kerrigan's lips formed a cold smile. Her eyes lit with a fire that resembled more the Queen of Blades than Sarah Kerrigan.

"Oh, but you are responsible. You proclaimed your authority over all of us, which means that you were also responsible for the previous crews actions. And let me tell you, no reason could justify this. Do you know what I am? What I was made to be? I am a weapon. The most dangerous weapon of my universe. You may have cut me open and damaged me but I am still dangerous." She was smiling now. "And you thought you could tame me, turn my into your weapon. Do you know what happened to my last 'trainers?' I killed them. I gave one of them a brain tumor. I crushed his brain matter against his skull."

Yavek seemed unfazed. For someone so small, he seemed to have some balls.

"Listen, I don't care what you think you're owed. You think I'm going to be cowed by some petty threats? You think you'll get some kind of revenge?"

He scoffed.

"I don't care. Take it up with someone else. I've got more important things to deal with."

"THERE IS NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN ME!" The Queen of Blades roared.

In one short instance, astonishingly fast, Kerrigan lunged for Yavek.

Once again, Yavek didn't flinch.

Because in that same instant, Kerrigan was sent flying back, as the Kessek leader, Force Commander Hukkar, slammed into her with his massive battlestaff. The device generated a field of pure kinetic force, knocking Kerrigan away as easily as one would bat a fly.

In the same, fluid motion, Hukkar lept dozens of feet into the air, landing down on top of Kerrigan before she could even hit the ground, doubling the effect of the crippling impact.

He held the tip of the staff pointed towards her as he stood over her, projecting a field of force to keep her pinned to the ground.

"Submit," Hukkar spoke grimly "Or I will be forced to subdue you further."

If she were still truly the Queen of Blades, she would have handled these fools easily. But she was human now. A warped, damaged human, and though she was a trained assassin, though she had years of experience and had murdered countless beings, she was helpless. Her body screamed in protest. She was sure she had broken at least several ribs. But she was not defeated.

"Never." She still struggled to stand, impossible though it was.

Hukkar merely sighed grimly. In the next moment, the force around her appendages began to increase. If she struggled much more, they would likely break.

"Please," he said, "cease this foolishness."

Ildraniath had only caught a portion of the altercation - a glimpse of one of the crew being hurled thorugh the air like a doll. Mentally, she cursed herself for not bothering with armor - why would she have needed it today, of all days? She took a step forward, hands beginning to spark with warp energy. She didn't particularly care for Kerrigan - had never even spoken with her, that she could recall - but she was a member of the crew and the crew? The crew were far sturdier allies than these dalgig and kessek.

Her voice carried over the Observation Deck.

"Release her."

The massive Kessek warrior turned and looked at Ildraniath evenly, still standing over Kerrigan.

"She attempted to assault a Daligig officer," he replied. "I am well within rights to subdue her until she is no longer a threat."

The other Kessek soldiers moved forward, massive battle rifles at the ready should the Farseer attempt to step in.

Kerrigan missed Ildraniath's order and the Kessek's retort. She had continued to fight and consequently several of her bones snapped. She screamed in pain and humiliation.

"I do not care for the well-being of your Dalgig," Ildraniath retorted, eyes darting over the row of heavily armored soldiers. If she had her armor and Singing Spear and if she had a squad of Aspect Warrior (or a warlock council or even a squad of Guardians) she would've given herself better odds. As it was - alone, unarmored and unarmed, she doubted she could win. She might be able to kill one. Maybe two or three if she caught enough of them in the blast of warp energy she could unleash. But the rest would undoubtedly cut her down.

"But seeing as several of her bones have just snapped, I think you can safely release her. Or must I retaliate in kind? Considering you are supposed to be guests aboard this vessel and our allies, you are already making a very poor impression."

She didn't make a move to attack. It was mostly a bluff, but she fully intended to unleash a wave of warp energy if this Kessek persisted.

Hukkar released the field of kinetic force, but remained standing over Kerrigan.

"Then call your security forces to detain her and place her in holding. I will not see such an unstable individual walk unrestrained under my watch."

"She isn't going to be walking anywhere for a while," came the rather dry reply, "And I am a Farseer of Ulthwe; I do not answer to you or the Dalgig who hold your leash. The crew will deal with her as they believe necessary, not because you command it."

She lowered her hands, letting the energy drain away. "Now if you're finished, I believe your precious Dalgig have repairs to be undertaking, do you not? I assume you know the way around the ship."

"Leave her," Yavek ordered as he approached, now that the altercation was finished. "We have more important things to worry about. Besides, I think she's learned her lesson."

Hukkar bowed his head slightly in acknowledgement, stepping away from Kerrigan.

"You, on the other hand," Yavek said, turning to Ildraniath, "We will be keeping an eye on you. Do not step out of line."

"As I just told your trained brute, I am a Farseer of Ulthwe; I do not answer to you," Ildraniath looked down at Yavek with a rather cold expression, "Meddle with me at your own peril."
