It has been some time since she first entered the pod caverns. She's lost track of it-- it's hard to tell time in this ship to begin with, and so without any sort of measure here it's especially hard

Nanaki recognized her from when he first woke up. Surely she had to actually leave the chambers since then, but why was she there now? And why was she sleeping -- unless she wasn't sleeping.
Cautiously, he approached, speaking gently but loud enough to hear. "Excuse me, miss? Homura?"
He thought that was the name she gave him, anyway.
Homura doesn't jerk awake, just slowly opens her eyes and looks him over. She's slightly surprised he knows her name, but-- then she remembers. Yes. She nods in recognition but does not stand.
Nanaki stayed silent for a moment, gazing into the pod as if he'd see something familiar inside of it, or maybe even as though it'd open in that moment.
"I see," he finally spoke. "I'm sorry."
He wasn't very good at this sort of thing, but still... "Perhaps your friend will awaken again soon. That, or we'll wake her up when we've found the way to awaken all who sleep here, for now."
Keeping her voice steady and level, so very guarded, Homura speaks quietly. "It's alright. ... It's probably for the best that she's been repodded. There are too many dangers on board the ship. This is safer, isn't it." But still there is regret. She does not show it at all, but Homura wishes she were out.
"I suppose it can be. There are those who I wish to protect who may be sleeping down here, as well." He hoped they were down there, anyway.
"But I'm sure many of them would wish to protect me in the same manner if they were awake instead. So if they ever do awaken, I think I'd still be grateful for it."
"You're lucky." She says it in such a way that the slight tinge of envy she feels is not at all visible. She's been abandoned by a lot of people over the years, and has pushed away just as many. But before he has a chance to really reply to that, she speaks again. "I would be grateful for her to reawaken. ... It doesn't matter if she does. So long as I am able to do what I must."
Nanaki nodded at her. "It would be of great help if they all awakened. But until that time, we must do what we can and assume that we shouldn't sit back and wait for it. We'll fight in their stead, whether they eventually join us or not."
Still, Homura dozing off meant she had been down there for a while. "Are you going to keep searching?"
Homura's list of things to do is rather short, and at the top of the list is always this one thing: protect Madoka. That is the thing she must do. So running herself ragged to find the pod and then protecting that pod to the best of her ability... that's what she's going to do. She won't let herself die and she will definitely get the rest she needs-- after she finds that single pod, that glimmering ray of hope.
"It might be difficult..." Nanaki said, looking at the pod nearest to them, unable to clearly make out whoever it was that slept inside. Could it have been Yuffie? Somebody he knew? A creature like him?
Still, he doubted difficulty or impossibility would stop her. "I can help you search a little, if you'd like."
Cautiously, he approached, speaking gently but loud enough to hear. "Excuse me, miss? Homura?"
