Vulkanus and the Armory!meat_mooksSeptember 3 2011, 19:59:26 UTC
Vulkanus was a simple person with simple needs. Money made the world go round after all, and a ship this size would have oodles of weapons to be taken. After all, he was ready to cause some damage as he stormed through the halls, brandishing a weapon on his arm fiercely.
Reaching the armory door, he began to pull it open, sneering as it gave way. "Hoo yeah, now that's what I'm talking about?"
Automatically, a broadcast resounded. Alert. Alert. Forced entry into armory by unknown assailant. Team to armory, team to armory.

Allenby wasn't with Security. And she didn't hang around the Armory much either, because why bother when the best weapons she had were right at the end of her wrists?
Nevertheless, when the klaxon blared she legged it for the transport tubes. Hell, they might need help! Or not be close by enough!
When the tentacle released her, she spotted the jerk right away. Damn hard not to in that giant suit he was wearing. "HEY! Just what do ya think you're doing?!" she yelled, raising her fists.

Vulkanus turned to look at Allenby, giving her a look. "Bah, puny human. And a girl at that too. I'm just taking what I want. Got a problem with that?"
And a what at that? Wow. A jerk with no brain, even. Ah well, that'd just make it all the easier to crack his skull open! "I'll show you how much of a problem I have with it!" she yelled, launching towards him with a flurry of punches.
Oh, so he was as fast as her? Okay, she could handle that. But she figured she oughta break the helmet so she could find his teeth and knock out a few--
"--Gah!" Allenby reacted instantly when her fist was grabbed. She swung the rest of her body forward, driving her feet at Vulkanus' hip, ducking her head to avoid the blaster.
SCREE-KTHOW! A blast lanced out and scored the space where Allenby used to be as he stumbled backwards, letting go of her fist.
"Nosy parker!" exclaimed Vulkanus, too frustrated as he grabbed a random weapon off the shelf and fired it in an attempt to try and hit her, the smell of ozone in the air.
Allenby yanked her arm back as it was released, landing lightly and springing back into the air. The weapon fired just below her feet as his rose--too close.
"Nobeeeel Hula Hoop!" she yelled. Green light burst through her fingers as she flung out the energy circle. If it it, it would cut--she wanted to break through that armor so she could pummel him properly.
Allenby dropped and ducked a few of the shots--but there was no dodging them all, and soon enough one of them got her in the feet half a second before she landed.
With a sick feeling, she tried to jump again and found herself stuck fast as she'd feared. "Oh, so ya can't fight me mano-a-mano, huh? Just about figures, ya coward!" she yelled, raising her fists and trying furious to yank her feet free.
That was the noise that erupted from Allenby's throat as she countered Vulkanus' punch with her own, right at the center of his fist. In most universes, this would have given her a glove full of broken fingers, but she wasn't from most universes.
And one thing about being stuck to the ground was not having to worry about being pushed back.
"Not good enough, pest!" Allenby said through gritted teeth. She could feel her feet being strained against the gum--he'd probably free her himself in a second--but for now she was rooted in place.
Could she use her new specialty technique with the left hand? She should've tried that before, but no time like the present... "Nobeeeel SUPERBALL!"
If she'd been at the distance she'd designed the attack for, it probably would have gone way off course. But at point-blank range, Vulkanus could either dodge it or get slammed in the breadbasket. It was his choice.
WHAM. The attack impacted as Vulkanus stumbled backwards, his stomach sparking from the attack Allenby delivered. The plates along it were con caved inward and he was growling. "Bitch!"
Hah. Despite her impaired position, Allenby flashed him a cocky grin, beckoning with the hand she'd just used to hurl that energy at him. "Still think you can handle this puny human girl, pal? C'mon, try it again."
Reaching the armory door, he began to pull it open, sneering as it gave way. "Hoo yeah, now that's what I'm talking about?"

He smirked viciously as he aimed his fist to grab Allenby's, a energy blaster popping out of his wrist. "Fortunately I don't play fair."

"CHEW ON THIS!" he snarled, firing the gun which began to shoot sticky globs of something at her.

And he raised his fist ready to slam it in Allenby's face.
