It wasn't uncommon for someone to suffer from lazy afternoons. Or, well, lazy days. With things having calmed down from both the wedding and the prom, things seemed kinda slow at the moment. In a way, that was a good thing. In a place like this, having quiet time was very rare. On the other hand, it was a bit worrying - who knows what might happen

"How interesting. This is different," said Philip, the young man having come down to the River and watching the rain fall as he waved at Sasami.

[saint_sami]

"Oh, Philip!" Sasami called out, waving back at the other boy. She stopped to brush her bangs out of her eyes to get a better look at him. "Yeah, it is different - I've never seen it do this..."

Lifting his book, he held it open over her head. "I hadn't thought we got rain, but it's a nice change to offset the humidity of the ship."

[saint_sami]

"It is...!" Sasami said, looking up at the falling rain before wincing as a few drops got into her eyes.

"I wonder why it did so now... and it hasn't had any other weather?"

"Maybe we only get rain once in a while, but this is random even for the ship." He shrugged. "I don't know if Stacy could improve on hot and muggy anyhow."

"I wish it could..." Sasami admitted. "At least home we have something to use to cool down from all the heat!"

Lots of fans. Lots and lots of them.

"Next time we get a chance, we're building a fan," decided Philip.

[saint_sami]

Sasami couldn't help but chuckle at that.

"Yes, yes, we are."

Moving to shelter Sasami with the edge of his jacket, he remarked, "Are we going to just relax in the rain or no...?"

[saint_sami]

"Oh...! Eheh, that sounds like a better idea...!" Sasami said, nodding and letting Philip lead the way.

Chuckling, he lead her towards the house. "Maybe come out later after it cools off, and have a little splashing in the water?"

[saint_sami]

Sasami giggled a bit at Philip's suggestion. "That sounds like a good idea...!"

As they got under the house's roof, Sasami pulled away from Philip and began to wring out the water from her pigtails. "Eugh, I forgot how much of a problem this was..."

"Need some help?" asked Philip, shaking the water from his jacket and his book. "I've read up on how to braid hair."

[saint_sami]

"Oh, sure...!" Sasami said, nodding. Reaching back, she slid the hair tie from her lift pigtail and removed the ribbon from her right, letting her hair hang loose to her ankles.

Getting the water out of her hair was a challenge, but soon Philip had managed to wrestle her hair into a semblance of cooperation as he began to braid. "Any preference?"

"Nuh-uh." Sasami uttered, trying to resist shaking her head. "Do it however you like."
