Big Tour Fun Time

Eddie was waiting in a hall for Rose. She said she was going to show him around the ship, but only after she got a snack. Eddie leaned against the wall and tapped his foot impatiently. He had gotten a little more used to the place, but he still didn't feel comfortable without a friend around to ensure him that the floor wasn't going to open up and ( Read more... )

Rose was still not quite over the food in this place. Discovering that the sensoriums could make that slop TASTE like things was a huge bonus but it peeved her something fierce that she couldn't just, like, take a bag of pretzels with her some place. She'd hung around in the mostly blank sensorium room, munched down her snack of choice, then taken off to meet up with Eddie vaugely wondering wether they'd be able to get better food once they breached the other areas of the ship.

You know if they didn't run into those apparently hostile stowaways and all freaking die.

She waved a hand at Eddie as she found him in the hall, trying not to think about it.

"Hey, you ready to take a look around this place or what?"

"Hey! I didn't think you'd take so long." Eddie got off from the wall and stretched his arms. "Yeah, I'm totally ready. Where are we going first?"

Eddie was already familiar with the pod chamber and the cafeteria, and he'd heard about the media library, the sensorium, and the city. If this ship was big enough to hold a city, this tour could take a while. Which was just fine with him. The more time spent with Rose, the better.

"The library and the sensoriums are kinda straightforward." And knowing Eddie she'd get him into the library and he'd go into nerd mode once he found the multi-universal comic book archives and she'd never get him out of there.

"Let's go to the city first. It's huge, I haven't even been everywhere in it yet."

She nodded her head and started walking, leading the way.

"How'd you sleep last night?" she asked, just trying to make conversation. She hoped vaguely that the little one-person pod-bunks weren't too creepy for him to rest in. First few nights she'd slept in one had felt like she was just climbing into the jaws of the monster so to speak.

Eddie shivers a bit as he follows. It had taken him a long time to fall asleep, and even when he did he had nightmares of tentacles coming out of the walls.

"Uhg, not so good. I swear I could hear it moving around me. Guess I'll just have to get used to it."

Eddie swished his tail from side to side and tried to relax. Talking helped a little.

"It's just a little too Sci-Fi for me. What was your first day here like? Can you even count days out in space?"
