Well. Color her wrong.
Eventually, though, she found her way into the office of the pointy-eared man, and, tilting her head, offered him a grunt in greeting.
"Name's Ellyn Vitner. We spoke on th' comm?"

"Welcome. Please, have a seat and let's talk." He gestured to the chair across from him as he set down the quill.

She had no clue what kind of loaded question she was about to ask, next, either. "So...whadd'ya wanna know?"

She had delicate control, really!
"Oh, here, lemme show ya th' good trick!" It was a moment of inspiration, truly. Ellyn spread her arms as if she were holding something, and unburnt Trouble, the greatsword, mentally reinstating its molecular structure. It began as a subtle glow; one that became brighter and brighter until it was a hunk of gleaming-hot metal in her hands.
Then she removed the heat from it, carefully, as it reconstituted. It might be slightly more than room temperature, but...
"Go 'head, ya ought'a be able ta touch it," Ellyn said.

Ellyn thought about that a moment. "Ya would'a got 'long great with 'im. An' mebbe he has a few works in th' library I heard about. I'll have ta look, since I know what I'm lookin' for."
She grimaced. "Makes fer great bedtime readin' if yer havin' problems fallin' asleep, though, if ya ask me."

She figured it probably wasn't a good idea to go into her father's dead magic abilities, considering she couldn't replicate them.

Probably because the Endless had at least a good thousand years or so on her, if not more, to study about it. If not longer.
