The war would soon get bigger than any of them could ever imagine.

She could indeed sense its presence. In fact, it was rather easy. Apparently the technology of the sensorium eased the process of connecting with the Tapestry.

The intelligence behind the ancient device regarded her silently, watching and waiting.

The response she got was a vague sensation, something of a half-yes, half-no answer.

Things like this were always complicated.

Reluctantly, it showed the exact same images as it had when the Tapestry had been revealed. The battle, the Ohm, the burning world, the broken moon, and the funeral.

For some reason, the Tapestry didn't really seem to enjoy repeating itself.

There was a positive response from the Tapestry.

It felt that much was obvious.

There was a negative response.

It would only give them what they needed. It told them about the battle so that they could prepare for it. But it couldn't give them everything.

The wordless response from the Tapestry seemed to translate to Look. Learn. Speak.

They'd have to find things out the hard way.

The Tapestry wasn't amused about that. If she wasn't going to be serious, it would just ignore her until she changed her mind.
